The training week for Latin American academic and administrative personnel (WP3) was held from 25 to 29 September 2017 at the Universidad de Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (ULPGC) (Spain).

In the framework of the Poncho Project (Erasmus+ Capacity Building in Higher Education), the ULPGC hosted some members of the PONCHO training program for some Latin American project partners.

The main topics discussed were:

• Internationalization and Research
• Organization of International Offices
• The Management Structures of an Erasmus +
• Mobility as an internationalization tool
• The structure, activities and tools of the International Relations Office
• University research and cooperation institutes

The one-week training program was aimed at 11 staff members from 10 International Office of different Higher Education Institutions from Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, Paraguay and Peru.

This was also an opportunity for PONCHO participants to interrelate as much with each other as with staff from the ULPGC. In addition, they had the opportunity to participate actively in the institutional event of the 30th anniversary of the Erasmus program.
